With the proper planning, design and implementation, community partnerships between business, government, education, and other relevant organizations can create effective economic development initiatives that will work, even in today’s economic climate.
Many consulting firms prepare a lengthy and detailed study, and wish the client good luck in implementing the plan. Of course, many of these plans and studies end up sitting on a shelf somewhere. My firm has chosen a different approach. Instead of reports that gather dust, I will work with your community to craft meaningful strategies and programs that will work, and will spend time working with you to implement those strategies and programs. As most of my contracts are longer term in nature, there is ample time to focus on implementation.
Areas of consulting practice include:
- Economic development planning
- Strategic planning and group facilitation
- Business attraction / retention programming
- Business incubation and entrepreneurship
- Development and redevelopment planning and implementation
- Community benchmarking and analysis
